Everyone’s got those rubber necks,

Like the elf hat and the snowflake scarf he bought off Larry Mandro,
or the tinsel chain he bought off Mary P.
Or the white candy cane belt he snatched from Pastor Carter.
Like the snowy sunglasses that he bought off tiny Efrain
or the Santa pants he bought off Brenda Lane,
or the shiny ruby reindeer watch he bought from Sarah Andrews...
Then the police arrived, and they took Steven downtown.
And no one ever saw their Christmas things again,
