for showing up to the Christmas boutique this year.
Everyone’s got those rubber necks,
cause last year he bought all the Christmas things with rubber checks. Stealing from the townspeople, it was pitiful,
but the things he was wearing, they looked so wonderful.

Like the elf hat and the snowflake scarf he bought off Larry Mandro,
or the tinsel chain he bought off Mary P.
Or the white candy cane belt he snatched from Pastor Carter.
Like the snowy sunglasses that he bought off tiny Efrain
or the Santa pants he bought off Brenda Lane,
or the shiny ruby reindeer watch he bought from Sarah Andrews...

Then the police arrived, and they took Steven downtown.
And no one ever saw their Christmas things again,
no one ever dressed that wonderful again,
no one ever saw Steven ever again
